Start with the garment, not your height
A garment inseam is the distance along the inside leg from the crotch seam to the hem. Your body’s inside-leg measurement and the finished inseam of a pair of pants serve different purposes. For online shopping, compare garment measurements with a pair you already wear comfortably.
Measure in four steps
- Choose pants with a cut and fit close to the pair you want to buy.
- Lay them flat and smooth the fabric gently. Do not stretch the leg or waistband.
- Place a flexible tape at the join of the crotch seams. Follow the inside seam to the bottom edge of the hem.
- Record the length and the unit. If the two legs differ, measure both and note the difference.
To convert centimeters to inches, divide by 2.54. For example, 63.5 cm is 25 inches. To convert inches to centimeters, multiply by 2.54.
Decide where you want the hem to fall
Compare like with like: cropped straight jeans and full-length wide-leg trousers may need different lengths. Try your reference pair with the shoes you intend to wear, and note whether you want the same hem position. Height alone cannot tell you the right inseam.
Check the exact retailer option
- Confirm whether the size chart gives body measurements or finished garment measurements.
- Select your size, petite or regular option, and leg length before checking the inseam.
- Check waist, hips, rise and fabric as well. The right leg length does not guarantee the rest of the fit.
- If the inseam is missing, ask the retailer for the measurement before ordering. Check its return and alteration terms.
What Revenco’s measurements mean
Our inseam filter includes only products whose saved listing mentions the selected length. We do not infer an inseam from your height or from a search phrase. Listing details are not an independent measurement and may refer to a particular variant, so confirm the exact option with the retailer.
Products without a stated inseam remain available when you browse with “Any length”.
